 note = {application/pdf, 本研究では、特別養護老人ホーム入所時において、看取りのケアの長期的かつ連続的な過程について説明を受けた家族の、反応を明らかにすることを目的とした。方法は、施設に入所している21 名の高齢者のケア記録を質的に分析した。分析の結果、家族の反応は、【看取りについて新たに理解する】【看取りについて考えることを先送る】【本人および他の家族の看取りに対する思いを気にかける】【考えても終末期医療の希望をいま決めることはできない】【現時点での意思を示す】の5つのカテゴリーにまとめられた。これらの結果から、今回の看取りに関する説明は、家族に理解できるものであり、看取り方について考えるきっかけとなると推察された。また、特養における高齢者の看取りについてイメージできるようになり、看取りのケアに関する意思決定を促進する可能性があることが示唆された。, This study aims to elucidate family reactions to the explanation of the continuous long-term process of end-of-life care when entering a special nursing home for the elderly. We qualitatively assessed the care records of 21 elderly residents. The results of the analysis revealed families’ reactions in the following fi ve categories: “to understand newly introduced concepts of nursing;” “to postpone thinking about the care;” “to care about the feelings of the elderly and other family members;” “if I think about end-of-life care, then it cannot be decided;” and “it shows the current intention.” These results suggested that the explanation is convincing for family members, and it triggers their thoughts regarding where and how an elderly member of their family will die. Furthermore, it suggests the eff ect of eliminating the problem that families cannot imagine about the end-of-life care.},
