Approximately 70% of the subjects had future goals and at least 90% considered it necessary to continue learning, participate in seminars, and study the literature. However, only 40% of the subjects were implementing these goals, and the number of such subjects was particularly low among those with 4-14 years of experience. While 11.3% of the subjects were involved in nursing research, the number of subjects who considered nursing research to be necessary was also low among those with 4 -14 years of experience. Approximately 50% of the subjects considered that career advancement or the career development ladder was valuable and wished to implement it. To implement career advancement or advance up the career development ladder, nurses with ≧ 15 years of experience considered that external guidance, education, and consultation were necessary. Moreover, nurses considered enough time, books and literature were necessary for learning environment.
