A qualitative descriptive research method was used, in which a semi-structured interview was conducted with a palliative care nurse with experience of cancer survivors. The obtained data were analyzed qualitatively and inductively. Individual analysis results of the characteristics of the psychosocial burdens of a palliative care nurse who had experience of cancer survivors were as follows: “two selves opposing coexistence” and “the diffi culty of finding right answers of patients’ care in the end of their life.” The characteristics of the coping behavior of the palliative care nurse with experience of cancer survivors were as follows: “protecting oneself and thinking positively,” “securing the environment by transforming the eff ects of sickness into energy,” and “opening up psychological barriers that cannot be transcended.” These features were applied in relation to Margaret A.
